Your Peten wood piece was carved and finished by hand in traditional craft techniques and should be handled with care to help ensure its preservation. Please clean with water and soap by hand. Do not clean in the dishwasher.

Provenance

This hand-crafted board is made from teak sustainably harvested from reforestation projects in Peten, Guatemala. Woodworking generates a positive economy for Peten artisans. Each piece of teak is hand-selected, then carefully arranged and cut into the chosen form. Once shaped, the board is hand-sanded, then conditioned until smooth with a non-toxic, food-safe mineral oil and beeswax derived from local bees.
