Condition
Overall in very good condition. The fiberglass surface is in age-appropriate condition, presenting with light scratches, indentations and very minor black paint marks consistent with gentle use. There is an area under one seat where the fiberglass has concentrated losses and abrasions, covering an area measuring approximately 4.5 inches. The base of each chair has areas of discoloration, not visually distracting. The fabric upholstery appears to have been sensitively replaced at some point in the history of the chairs and is in excellent condition. Please note that only one of the two chairs swivels.

The chair is one of the most famous and beloved classics of Finnish design and it was the international breakthrough of Eero Aarnio. The Ball Chair can be found in the collections of design museums around the world and it has starred in several movies, music videos, and magazine covers.
